Here are the 5 best affordable organic baby clothing brands on Amazon with the highest quality. Mom tested and approved.
How I Chose The Best Affordable Organic Baby Clothing
When choosing the best affordable organic baby clothing, this is the criteria I used for inclusion on the list:
- 100% organic cotton with no synthetics
- No pesticides or toxic chemicals
- Soft material worthy of contact with baby skin
- Machine washable (and washes well)
- Affordable pricing
Where I Compromised
Organic baby clothes handmade in the USA are always going to be triple the price.
Since this post is all about the best affordable organic baby clothing brands, I had to compromise somewhere.
Some things like no synthetics were non-negotiable but I was more lenient on manufacturing country.
5 Best Quality Affordable Organic Baby Clothing Brands on Amazon
Burt’s Bees Baby Organic Baby Clothing
Burt’s Bees is a brand that has been around for a long time. We all know the name and brand recognition provides an added trust factor.
The Burt’s Bees Baby heather gray striped hoodie and cozy baby booties were two of our favorites during night time cuddles.
Pros:
- Most well known brand and is available in some stores.
- Large variety of styles and colors.
- Super soft and cozy.
- Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified.
- Next day delivery available on most products with Amazon Prime.
Cons:
- Some items are more definitely more expensive than other brands.
- Marketing costs are probably passed on to the customer because of brand recognition.
Touched By Nature Organic Baby Clothing
We have purchased a lot of items from Touched By Nature’s online Amazon shop. I love that they offer so many different styles and prints.
I did notice in some of the reviews for a holiday dress I liked that the colors bled into the fabric.
Personally, I haven’t had an issue but I always wash new colored clothing inside out and in cold water. Using warm water may encourage bleeding.
Shout Color Catcher washer sheets have been wonderful for assisting with absorbing dye in wash water – 10/10, highly recommend.
I loved the minimalistic feel of this holiday dress. It washed beautifully with no issues whatsoever.
Pros:
- Very affordable organic baby clothing.
- Super soft and cozy.
- Tons of styles and print options available.
- Offers accessories like bibs, crib sheets, and blankets.
Cons:
- Some items are higher quality than others. Check the reviews before purchasing.
- Very little information about the company on their website.
Owlivia Organic Baby Clothing
I purchased these double sets from Owlivia and was very happy with the quality and durability.
Pros:
- Very affordable – almost all products offer coupon discounts.
- Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified.
- 2 piece sets available.
- Super soft and cozy.
- Variety of styles and colors.
Cons:
- Most products do not offer next day Prime delivery.
- Does not list out specific chemicals excluded from manufacturing process.
O2 Baby Organic Baby Clothing
O2 Baby has a variety of options for babies under 1 year ranging from onesies, comfy pants, sleeper gowns, and rompers.
I had purchased the floral romper shown above and the onesie shown below. They were made out of the softest, coziest material.
Pros:
- Their onesies have zipper closures which make clothing changes simple and quick no matter what time of day or night it is.
- Material is soft and washes very well.
- Available for next day delivery with Amazon Prime.
- Affordable organic baby clothes at a reasonable price.
Cons:
- Doesn’t come in too many color/print options and some variations may be out of stock.
- Does not list out which heavy metals, toxins, and chemicals are not used in manufacturing.
L’ovedbaby Organic Baby Clothing
L’ovedbaby products are 100% organic cotton (no synthetic blends or fillers) and contain AZO-free dyes.
No toxic heavy metals, formaldehyde, aromatic solvents, functional nano particles, GMOs or their enzymes are used in the manufacturing process.
You can find the onesie here and the hoodie here.
Pros:
- Certified organic by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
- Specifically lists out the chemicals, heavy metals and toxins the products are free from.
- Comes in a variety of adorable muted colors for babies of all sizes.
- Affordable organic baby clothes at a reasonable price.
- Available for next day delivery with Amazon Prime.
Cons:
- Sometimes items are out of stock but supplies are replenished often.
- A little more expensive than other brands but the quality is there.
What We Ultimately Think:
L’ovedbaby, Owlivia, Touched by Nature, 02 Baby, and Burt’s Bees Baby are my favorite affordable organic baby clothing brands since they offer the widest variety of options.
If you do laundry on a regular basis, you only really need a handful of onesies and not much else for the first 3 months.
Depending on the weather, this makes wardrobe requirements very simple and affordable.
Because of this, I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase a better quality material for a few more dollars.
Rebecca
When my kids were babies, there weren’t very many choices in the organic clothes department, but these are soo stinking cute! Do you know if any of these brands have clothes for bigger kids? (Elementary or Tween age?) Thank you for sharing, it’s hard for us moms to have time to research all the things.
Kiersten James
Hi, Rebecca! These brands are only for babies and toddlers but check out Mightly. They have organic kids clothes on Amazon and are pretty decent. Off Amazon, I love Frugi (welovefrugi.com) and Finn and Emma (finnandemma.com). They’re adorable and last forever.
