I share my homemade natural disinfectant wipes I use to give bathrooms and counters quick daily wipe-downs. Non-toxic and reusable!

If you’re reading this post to find a way to make natural disinfectant wipes, you’ve probably realized how dangerous bleach can be.

I’ll admit, I used to swoon over Lysol and Clorox wipes. There’s something about that fresh, sterile smell that always gave me a “job well done” feeling…That was also before I did thousands of hours of research on all of the toxins lurking in our homes.

Benefits of Using Natural Disinfectant Wipes in the Home

Effective natural, non-toxic cleaning solution.

This can’t be emphasized enough.

Triggers for disease are everywhere – our diets, clothes, medical treatments, household and personal care products, toys, linens, cookware, etc.

Autoimmune disease and cancer are rampant in our family, just like many other families these days. This alone encourages me to remove the toxins, hormone disruptors, and synthetics that can reasonably be replaced.

The wipes are reusable.

I throw all the used wipes in a small laundry basket and wash them once weekly on Saturdays with the microfiber cleaning rags.

Having reusable wipes saves a ton of money over the course of the year when you factor in the cost of products and the gas to get there.

It saves me a lot of time.

I used to do major deep cleanings every Saturday which would take up most of the day. Since I started making these natural disinfectant wipes, I can now wipe down the bathrooms down every day.

Seeing the jar of wipes on the shelf gives me a mental cue while I’m brushing my teeth to give everything a quick once over. I also don’t have to go to the store anymore.

Zero waste.

Reusable wipes in a glass jar mean nothing goes into the trash. Our household tries to minimize our footprint to the best of our ability so this factor was important to us.
